Poetry Workshops for High School Students

High school students are navigating complex thoughts, emotions, and experiences—often without a structured outlet to process or express them.

This workshop creates space for honest, thoughtful self-expression through poetry, allowing students to explore their voice, reflect on their experiences, and engage with writing in a meaningful way.

The Experience

Through a grounded and relatable approach to poetry, students are guided to move beyond surface-level writing and into more personal, reflective expression.

Prompts are designed to encourage depth, creativity, and individuality, while still being accessible to all experience levels.

Students are supported throughout the writing process and invited (never pressured!) to share.

Workshop Details

• Grades: 9th–12th
• Duration: 45–60 minutes
• Format: In-class or group setting

Workshop Investment

Base Workshop – $150

A 45–60 minute guided poetry experience where each student creates their own original poem to take home.

Keepsake Add-On – $5 per student

Upgrade the experience with a personalized Polaroid photo for each student, featuring their poem written on the back—a meaningful keepsake to share with their families.

About The Instructor: Ryanna Hammond

Ryanna Hammond is an author, poet, and founder of All With Heart. With a background in psychology and creative writing, and over 5 years of experience working with children—including students on the spectrum—she creates spaces where young people feel safe to express themselves and explore their creativity.

She is the author of 8 published books, including a children’s book, and has facilitated workshops and creative experiences centered around connection, self-expression, and emotional awareness.
